Season 3 of "Modern Family" ended with three major revelations. There was an unexpected acceptance letter, an expected baby that did not materialize, and a new baby out of left field.
Nobody expected Haley (Sarah Hyland) to get into college, but she managed to somehow. Will she survive? The Hollywood Reporter was on hand during the shooting of the season premiere, and it looks as though Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen) may have a harder time surviving Haley's moving on than Haley will.
Meanwhile, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) were just about to get the baby they had been hoping for when their plans fell apart. Utterly disappointed, they decided to take a break from adopting another child. According to TVGuide.com, they will continue to be upset about not having a second child. Huffington Post added that they will look into adopting after all: adopting a cat, that is.
The biggest revelation at the end of last season was that Gloria (Sofia Vergara) is pregnant! The new baby is a twist that has the potential to shake up the entire family.
TVGuide.com pointed out that Jay (Ed O'Neill) will naturally be stressed about being a father at his age. But imagine how Claire is going to feel, realizing she's about to have a half sister who's young enough to be her daughter -- or even a granddaughter! How will Mitch and Cam feel, having missed out on having another child while Jay gets to have yet another?
See how everyone reacts to the new baby news when Season 4 of "Modern Family" premieres with the episode "Bringing Up Baby," on Wednesday, 9/26 at 9PM EST on ABC.
