    MTV, Jersey Shore Cast to Host Live Fundraiser for the Storm-Ravaged Jersey Shore

    Gym, Tan… Philanthropy? MTV has announced that on Nov. 15, it will broadcast Restore the Shore, an hour-long special that will raise funds for the rebuilding of Seaside Heights aka the heart of both the Jersey Shore and the network’s infamous Jersey Shore, in the wake of the damage sustained last week by Hurricane Sandy.

    Airing live from MTV’s Times Square that night starting at 11 pm EST (and on a tape delay for PST viewers), Restore the Shore will feature the cast of Jersey Shore along with other special guest appearances to be announced.

    MTV is partnering with the non-profit org Architecture for Humanity for this effort, which will be primarily directed toward the rebuilding of the famed Seaside Heights boardwalk, as well as support the re-building efforts of businesses and residents in the community.
