However, it's the family-centric attitude of the show's cast members that make each episode truly relatable. While the clinic is staffed in part by Dr. Pol's wife and son, the entire veterinary clinic acts as a family. Season 2 explores many touching moments between humans and their pets and livestock, as well as each other.

Charles rides a horseHaving a fear of horses inspired by an incident in his youth, Charles is shy around horses. This is problematic, as his father is a pro at interacting with and treating equines. In Season 2, Charles faces his fear by grooming and riding a horse. The way he openly discusses and confronts his fear is inspiring, and we get the sense that he interacts with horses partly to relate more to his father -- who loves him unconditionally.
Hoof-first birth of calf"The Incredible Dr. Pol" depicts many calf births. This season, fans saw a hoof-first birth of a calf, learning that calves who come out this way usually die. After the calf is born, Charles and Dr. Pol must swing the calf upside down to clear it of mucus. When the calf starts breathing, the worried owner is clearly relieved and heartily thanks the father-son team.
Dr. Pol's interaction with choke-affected horseDr. Pol helps a horse affected by choke, a condition caused when a horse gets food stuck in its throat. Dr. Pol threads a tube down the horse's throat through its nose. While this is a relatively routine visit and issue, we see Dr. Pol's expertise and gentleness with horses as he quickly and calmly completes the task. Throughout the season, many customers and staff members remark on his gift for with horses.
Dr. Brenda delivers twin calvesDr. Brenda assists a cow giving birth to two calves while her owners are away. Brenda fears both calves won't survive, but she manages to birth both of them. This only happens due to the owners' neighbors, who called Dr. Brenda in while the farm owners were away. Neighbor Dave Sprague even participates in the process, helping to pull one of the calves from its mother. This exemplifies the positive attitude and neighborly camaraderie among many of the farmers and other livestock owners depicted in the show.
The staff members and surrounding community always pull together to help each other on "The Incredible Dr. Pol." As a result, the camera captures many moving moments -- also revealing how it's easy for people to get along when they're working to save the life of an animal.
