The Middleman alum Natalie Morales has joined ABC’s comedy pilot Trophy Wife, our sister site Deadline reports.
The single-camera project revolves around a reformed party girl, Kate (27 Dresses‘ Malin Akerman), who finds herself in an insta-family when she falls for a man (The West Wing‘s Bradley Whitford) with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives (played by Marcia Gay Harden and Michaela Watkins). Morales will play Kate’s best friend Meg.
Feature writers Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins penned the script and will serve as EPs alongside Office scribes Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.
In additional to the cult ABC Family series Middleman, Morales’ credits include The Newsroom, Parks and Recreation and White Collar. Starting tonight, she’ll recur on The CW’s 90210.
