Caf-Pow, of course is the drink that Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is constantly bringing to Abby (Pauley Perrette). Sometimes it appears that he brings her a Caf-Pow as a sign of fatherly affection, and at other times it seems to be used to butter her over for one reason or another. Whatever the motivation Gibbs has, however, one thing is clear. Abby really loves her Caf-Pow!
In previous interviews, Pauley Perrette has stated that the drink inside the Caf-Pow cups is actually Hawaiian Punch, which is one of the actress' favorite drinks. Yet CBS has enabled fans to get the true Caf-Pow experience by offering this drink for sale through the NCIS fan shop online.
So what is Caf-Pow? The "real" Caf-Pow is far more than the Hawaiian Punch that Pauley Perrette drinks on the "NCIS" set. Caf-Pow is a high-energy drink, and is recommended for those over age eighteen only. It is a yellowish or golden hued beverage that boasts a ton of caffeine and sugar for a real power boost.
If you want to sample some Caf-Pow for yourself, just hop onto the NCIS fan shop online. There are several different options available. The six-pack is available for $17, and the 18-pack is $46. There is also a re-usable Caf-Pow plastic cup with a flexi-straw just like the one that Abby uses on the show for $10. These are great for a season premier or season finale party, as well as a unique gift for the ultimate NCIS fan in your life.
There are some other notable items of interest available through the "NCIS" fan shop online, too. Major "NCIS" fans would also love to get their hands on their own "Bert the Farting Hippo" for $45. There is also a metal Bert sign and a Bert coffee cup that might catch your eye, too.
One word of warning before you pop open your can of Caf-Pow to enjoy while you watch the next episode of "NCIS". A single can of Caf-Pow contains 80 mg of caffeine. It's sure to keep you wide awake throughout the show, and likely well into the night, too! It's probably best to enjoy your Caf-Pow at work just like Abby does!
Be sure to check out "NCIS" on CBS on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET.
