'NCIS: LA': In Season 3 Viewers Want to Get Personal With the Special Agents

The Special Agents of "NCIS LA" are so dedicated to the job, they act as if they don't have personal lives at all. Still viewers would like to see more of what goes on during their down time. None of them have spouses. And they never talk about families and loved ones, although they broke that pattern when Hetty went rogue during Season 2's final few episodes. She opened the door to Callen's past. It was just a tiny crack, but viewers got a glimpse of his "familia." They also shared a brief tour of one of Hetty's homes. Those few scenes made Hetty and G. Callen a bit more three dimensional than the rest of the " NCIS: LA " team. Will viewers have the opportunity to get personal with the rest of the Special Agents during Season 3?

The agent's lack of personal details makes sense considering the dangerous nature of their undercover duties. But no matter how dark their lives may be, no matter how secret their undercover ops, they all have moms and dads, perhaps sisters and brothers and maybe even a true love left behind. If they don't have anybody at all, then why not? That's a story in itself. As the new season begins, viewers anticipate learning more about Hetty's ties to G Callen's secret past, but what about a few of the other Special Agent's missing links, as well?

How about a lover for Deeks

Deeks is sexy in a scruffy sort of way. He's flirtatious too; but his actions are colored by a funny guy filter. Love and romance aren't his thing. It even took a while to develop a simple friendship with his partner Kensi. He'd have to peel away his silly side before viewers accept him in a serious relationship. So.... no lover for Deeks, but as the new season unfolds, perhaps writers will at least drum up an L.A.P.D. back-story. When Hetty offered him a Special Agent spot on the "NCIS: LA" team, he chose to cling to his L.A.P.D. roots. Why? Viewers need to know.

Introduce Sam Hanna's mom and dad

Special Agent Hanna is a tough guy, an Iraqi and Afghanistan Veteran and a Navy Seal, as well. That's way too much macho to go all mushy over a girl, but even tough guys have a mom and dad. Sam has been closed off and aloof for two seasons. He's established his role as hard Special Agent extraordinaire, now it's time to open up his heart and his head and see what's inside. It's time to meet the folks.

Share more about Kensi's Mom and Dad

Kensi's dad was a Marine. He was killed. Other than those few facts, she has a big blank hole in her past. What about her mom? Does she have siblings or at least a pet cat? Kensi is a pretty lady, surely she's had a man or two. What happened to them?

The Special Agents are just that. They are Special Agents working hard core secret ops. Nobody expects to see every past detail revealed, but how about just a little bit more. Viewers want to get personal with the "NCIS: LA" team. Season 3 offers plenty of time and space to give viewers what they want.
