The sophomore season of "Up All Night" is under way, and it looks like there are some major changes. In a busy premiere, Chris and Reagan had some pretty crazy employment issues. The cancellation of Ava's show created the possibility for Reagan to become a stay-at-home mom. Meanwhile, Chris returned to work only to discover that it was no longer for him. With so many life changes in a short amount of time, life is about to get interesting for the parents. Here is a recap of the season premiere of "Up All Night."
Ava loses her showWhile Reagan is nervously accepting the fact that her recently divorced brother is remodeling her bathroom, she gets some shocking news from Ava. It turns out that "The Ava Show" is gone, and both women are now unemployed.
Knowing that the family will need a financial boost, Chris gets his lawyer job back. He happily delivers this news to Reagan, who decides that she might want to spend more time with Amy. That sets off the jealous side of Ava, who feels like she is being abandoned. The two decide to call off their friendship for good, only to rekindle it while visiting the closed set of the old show.
The two then decide to steal as many props as they can and flee the studio on a golf cart. It looks like Reagan is about to settle into her new role at home, but her friendship with Ava is still strong. However, it will be interesting to see how they get along with work out of the picture.
Chris takes a riskAfter spending time with his brother-in-law, Scott, something seems to change in Chris. He seems to relate to Scott's lifestyle and feels bad that he has to work for his ex-wife's verbally abusive father.
Meanwhile, Chris realizes that being a lawyer is no longer for him. He says that being home with Amy has changed his brain, and he ultimately decides to quit his job. Of course, he still needs to work, and he sees the perfect opportunity with Scott.
Sensing that his business sense will be a perfect match to Scott's contracting skills, the two decide to take the plunge and start a new company. Of course, Reagan seems less than thrilled that her husband has made this move. He decides that giving his wife a soak in the new Jacuzzi might be just what she needs to accept the news.
