Oz: The Great and Powerful, Sam Raimi’s upcoming film about how the wizard got to Oz, is considered one of the most highly anticipated films of 2013.
While we’ve gotten a first poster and teaser trailer for the Disney film, a new poster gives fans a closer look at the most famous of witches: the Wicked Witch of the West in all her glory.

The film stars James Franco as Oscar Diggs, who travels to a faraway land where he meets two strong females – Glinda (Michelle Williams), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Theodora (Mila Kunis).
The teaser trailer for the film focused mainly on Franco, giving fans short glimpses of Williams and Kunis. The final shot was of the signature green hand of the Wicked Witch.
But who is it under all that makeup? With Williams playing the good witch Glinda, it has to be either Kunis or Weisz -- and our money is on Kunis after what she told The Hollywood Reporter at Comic-Con in July.
Williams said she enjoyed playing Glinda because she got to be “a delight to all little girls.”

"I can't say the same about my character," said Kunis with a laugh. "What did I enjoy? I think the idea of being able to understand a character that I grew up loving so much, and truly ground her in a way that makes her seem real."
Raimi’s reboot of L. Frank Baum’s character follows Oscar Diggs as he gets involved with the problems plaguing the Land of Oz, putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity -- and even a bit of wizardry – to transform himself into the Wizard of Oz.
When asked by THR how he wanted audiences to feel while watching the film, Raimi said, "I hope they feel exhilarated by the goodness in Michelle's performance and the wickedness in certain others performances and they feel like they have been on a real, grand richly detailed fairytale.”
Oz: The Great and Powerful opens in theaters March 8, 2013.
