"Person of Interest" will have some impressive guest stars making appearances in Season 2. Amy Acker has already become the fan favorite love-to-hate character as Finch's (Michael Emerson) nemesis, Root. Now there is news about some others who may add interesting twists to this much-loved show.
Gloria Votsis
TV Line learned that Gloria Votsis will be guest starring on the fifth episode of Season 2. She will play hotshot reporter Maxine Angelis in the same episode that Paige Turco will reprise her role as Zoe.
She is best known as the fan-favorite thief Alex Hunter: a recurring role on "White Collar." Will she be up to some similar antics as a reporter on "Person of Interest"? She seems to have a knack for playing characters who barge into the lives of very private people to make trouble for them. Will she be doing the same with Reese (Jim Caviezel)?
Paloma Guzmán
TV Line also learned that Paloma Guzmán will be on an upcoming episode, although they did not specify which one. Guzmán is best known for playing Jackie Molina, Ezra's ex-fiancée, on "Pretty Little Liars." On "Person of Interest," she will play the daughter of a Brazilian diplomat; she also happens to be a spoiled party girl. This sounds like it could be quite a humorous episode judging by Reese's babysitting skills in the episode "Baby Blue."
Ken Leung
CBS announced via twitter post that both Ken Leung and Margo Martindale will be guest starring on the show. They mentioned in a press release that Leung would be in the Season 2 premiere, and Martindale would be in the second episode of Season 2.
The interesting thing about Leung is that he has worked with Michael Emerson twice before. They were both in the original "Saw" movie, then showed up together again for their best-known roles on "Lost." In the trailer for the season premiere, Leung's character was standing next to Reese as Reese asks the Machine for help finding Finch. It looks as if the character may be familiar with Finch and will be there to help find him.
Margo Martindale
Martindale is best known for her 2011 Emmy-winning role on "Justified." Although she played a bad person on that show, it doesn't necessarily mean she will be up to no good on "Person of Interest." Since "Justified," she has played a number of good characters, as well. She's simply a great actress, and you never know whom she may play next. Prepare to be surprised!
Watch the Season 2 premiere episode "The Contingency" on Thursday, 9/27 at 9PM EST on CBS.
