The first season finale of "Person of Interest" left fans with two major developments: Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman) learning about each other, and the kidnapping of Finch (Michael Emerson) by Root (Amy Acker). Now the question is what does Root have in store for our dear computer genius?
Carter has figured out for whom Fusco was working through process of elimination; Fusco told her he works for the "guy in the suit" and another guy with glasses, who "looks like a professor." The two of them can now double their focus in fighting crime. Will that include the hunt for Finch?
Before kidnapping poor dear Finch, Root killed Alicia (Elizabeth Marvel), proving just what a psychotic evil genius she really is. Entertainment Weekly reports that it will take more than one episode to get Finch back.
Until then, the Machine will have a new, creative way of getting the social security numbers in Reese's hands. In one of the season premiere trailers, Reese was with another character (played by Ken Leung) as he asked the Machine for help. Could that character be part of this new creative way of obtaining the numbers or of finding Finch?
Besides the missing Finch storyline, TVGuide.com has news of two guest characters. First, in a future episode, Reese may meet his match in a man named Alistair (Julian Sands). The producers are hoping to bring Alistair back for additional episodes. Additionally, Michael Emerson's wife, Carrie Preston, will return as Finch's former fiancée, Grace!
Watch the Season 2 premiere episode "The Contingency" on Thursday, 9/27 at 9PM ET on CBS.
