Bill Pullman is playing the president — again.

The Independence Day actor, who recently starred in Torchwood: Miracle Day, will portray the President of the United States in NBC's 1600 Penn pilot. The comedy centers on the most ordinary family in the world — who just so happen to live in the White House.

    Pilot Season: Get the scoop!

As previously announced, Brittany Snow will play the eldest daughter, Becca, while Book of Mormon's Josh Gad will play Skip, her gregarious and clumsy older brother.

Gad will also write and executive-produce the pilot with Modern Family's Jason Winer.

I think he could probably do a better job as President than the current
        resident of the White House.

You know, as a hypothetical, I wonder how many votes Pullman would get if he actually tried to be the President for real.

I don't know that he was born in the USA so that dream may never be fulfilled LOL

I would vote for (future) President Pullman in a heartbeat, especially in 2012 when the aliens are set to return anyway.

I especially liked Bill's roll in "While You Were Sleeping". Lovable and sexy (grrrrr!!). Of course, I'm a sucker for a love story!!!

While I have enjoyed some of his movies, my prediction is... another future flop for NBC. When are they going to try something original? It drives me nuts when NBC kills the careers of good actors/actresses!

They did the same thing to David Tennant they st days for production of a new show and canceled it days before production could start. this is why network TV sucks they want to produce cheap reality crap and scripted television has gone out the window

I'll watch it! At least this will be a President I'll be able to laugh at AND feel good about it. I wonder how many "Independence Day" jokes they'll be able to fit in?

Mr President, I will certainly watch you evey week. I love
Bill Pullman! But I hope that someone in Hollywood would give us a show where the kids resected the parents and not treat them like dopes...enough of that already. Sassing is still sassing no matter which way tinsel town wants to persuade us to believe in.

He's consistent and never ever disappoints. Chameleon - style; he can play anything. Looking forward to this, too!
