    Pilot Season: Sarah Michelle Gellar to Play Robin Williams' Daughter in CBS Sitcom

    Sarah Michelle Gellar is slated to star alongside Robin Williams in the CBS sitcom pilot The Crazy Ones, TVGuide.com has learned.

    Gellar will play Williams' daughter, creative director Sydney Roberts, in the single-camera comedy from David E. Kelley about a father-daughter team who run an advertising agency. Her character is described as "pretty, intense, driven, organized and burdened with being practical." The Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress was last seen on TV in the 2011 CW series Ringer.

    Political Animals' James Wolk is co-starring as a copywriter at the firm.

    Kelley is writing the pilot and executive-producing alongside Dean Lorey, Bill D'Elia, John Montgomery and Mark Teitelbaum. The pilot will be directed by Jason Winer.
