Pitbull Hosting the 2013 American Music Awards

Rapper Pitbull, also known as Mr. Worldwide, is hosting the 2013 American Music Awards, Dick Clark Productions announced Tuesday.

In addition to hosting duties, Pittbull will also perform his new single, “Timber,” with Ke$ha, which is yet another addition to the performance lineup including Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and One Direction.

ABC will broadcast the award show live from Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles on Nov. 24.

Allen Shapiro and Michael Mahan are executive producing this year’s AMA’s for Dick Clark Productions, while Larry Klein is producing.

“Pitbull is a multi-talented global superstar and the right man to take the reins of the night, which is going to be one great party,” Klein said in a statement. “That’s why he is called Mr. Worldwide. He’s the perfect choice to celebrate the universal language of music.”
