Starz is considering continuing the Spartacus franchise after War of the Damned wraps after this season, Deadline reports
The potential spin-off would focus on Julius Caesar. The famed Roman leader, played by Todd Lasance, will be introduced as a nemesis for Spartacus (Liam McIntyre) in the upcoming third season of Spartacus. Though a relative unknown in America, Lasance is famous abroad for his role on the popular Australian soap Home and Away.

Spartacus co-creator and executive producer Robert Tapert is behind the possible spin-off. Earlier this year Steven DeKnight, who created and executive-produces alongside Tapert, hinted at a possible continuation of the series.
"In the halls of Starz, we often whisper about a spin-off. We've set up a world that is just perfect to spin off into other areas during this time period," DeKnight told The Hollywood Reporter in June. "We are open to, down the road, revisiting this world, whether it's Julius Caesar, whether it's set in the same time period or whether it's a little later in the time period."
