Pregnant Molly Sims Wearing Spanx to Look Slimmer

Molly Sims is currently four months pregnant with her first child, and the 5-foot-9 supermodel is making changes to her wardrobe that she has never had to before.

At the Safe House premiere in NYC Tuesday, the glowing mommy-to-be hit the red carpet in a BCBG number teamed with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry chosen by star stylist Rachel Zoe, plus heavy-duty  undergarments to smooth out her baby bump!

    PHOTOS: Buzzed-about celeb pregnancies

"I'm wearing Spanx! They're holding everything in!" Sims, 38, exclaimed to Us Weekly about the fan-favorite shapewear brand. "I have seen fat deposit in places that I have never seen! I broke down and went to A Pea in the Pod the other day -- I had to buy a new bra!"

    PHOTOS: Hollywood's post-baby bods

The Project Accessory host announced that she and her hubby Scott Stuber, who wed in September, were expecting early this summer. And even though her body is adjusting to carrying a baby, she's still sticking to her usual healthy ways.

    PHOTOS: Love lives of models

"I'm still doing Tracy Anderson, just not at the same high level that I was," she tells Us about her exercise regimen with the celeb trainer. "I've definitely taken it down, because you have to keep your heart rate between 140 and 150 so, it's hard, I'm not gonna lie."

Bringing a child into the world is a beautiful thing....why would someone try to disguise their "baby bump" when a woman look so beautiful being pregnant. She should NOT get pregnant if she has to disguise her stomach....so superficial and disgusting to say the least~~~

I think that is awful. She should be thankful that she is able to have a baby, and not try to hide it. Shame on her.

They make Spankx for pregnant ladies. Shame on the media for trying to make it sound like something else and shame on you for commenting negatively on something you're clearly not educated about.

You ever seen those $200 maternity jeans they got them built-in the waist?

@M...I am quite educated and I can read which is what I did. I read this article and it says she is wearing "heavy-duty undergarments to smooth out her baby bump!" Why on earth would a woman want to smooth out something so beautiful that grows bigger every, single day. Pregnancy should be celebrated, not "smooothed out!"

Of course you're probably going to gain weight when you're pregnant.

for gods sake, forget the spanx! that's for after the pregancy. this is the time to enjoy your changing body and let it do what it needs to do to grow a healthy baby. spanx is not going to make the belly go away!! It's only gonna get bigger so accept it.

Jesus ... why doesn't she just buy some Victorian-era corset and have one of her servants cinch that puppy up with a small winch the way it was done in the 19th Century? That way the baby can be born looking like the Gingerbread Man! (or girl). This whole celebrity obsession with keeping their figures as long as possible during pregnancy and then the tabloid media putting a post-partum stopwatch on them to time how long it takes them to slim back down has gotten out of hand. I figure one or two ugly miscarriages or stillbirths followed up by a tearful confession on "Extra" might just put and end to it all.
      Just sayin' ...
      Peace - Out

what a sad statement....but common in today's cruddy society...

spanx are definitely not healthy for the baby...that tight fitting clothing is going to restrict a lot of things. she decided to get pregnant she should deal with the consequences (fat, stretch marks, cellulite etc)....it just goes to show the mindset of models...anything to be skinny...even if it could cause harm to your baby...

Oy, that's kinda silly. Baby bumps are so cute. It must be her husband saying she looks too big or something because what woman would want to conceal that?

News Flash Molly, you still look pregnant. You are actually showing a LOT for someone who is only 4 months. Stop squishing your baby, it didn't work anyway.
      • nourit 3 months ago
that's what I thought, too -- that is HUGE for four months!!!
      • Amber Gavin 3 months ago
I wonder how big she'd be if she wasn't trying to hide it!

OH MY LORD, people. THEY MAKE SPANX FOR PREGNANT WOMEN! She's not trying to squeeze her baby to death inside them...she's trying to smooth out THE REST of her body. Geez.
    • Melissa  •  3 months ago
You are all morons! go to the spanx website, they make maternity spanx!!! They allow plenty of roo for the baby/belly and actually help give support. Good lord, let the girl wear her spanx in peace ; )

Then the article should have said that.

I think the writer of this piece thought people would have common sense!! This is why Beyonce didn't look all fat and sloppy in public.

So I guess the baby will come out a pancake? And newsflash...your #$%$ look like arrows...get the bra on!
