President Barack Obama's Support of Gay Marriage Gets Hollywood's Attention

President Barack Obama made a startling announcement on Wednesday that he had changed his mind on simply supporting civil unions for gay Americans. He has now decided to put his considerable weight behind legal marriage for gay people.

“At a certain point, I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” Obama told ABC News in an interview.

The change of position arrived just three days after his V.P., Joe Biden, made headlines when he came out in support of gay marriage. That clearly placed some pressure on the President to clarify his stance on the issue.

As the reports began proliferating on the internet, Hollywood took notice. Ranging from support to snark, here’s what the entertainment industry is saying about Obama’s support of gay marriage.
