In recent weeks, there have been a lot of new characters announced for Season 3 of "Pretty Little Liars." One of the most intriguing is CeCe Drake, a stylist who works at a vintage boutique. It has been revealed that CeCe will be played by Vanessa Ray, and some exciting clues have been dropped about her character. Let's take a look at some of the hints and the possibilities of what this might mean.
She is Jason's ex.
The biggest shocker about CeCe is that she used to date Jason DiLaurentis (Drew Van Acker). Of course, Jason was sure to have had girlfriends in the past, but it was so heavily laid on that he was a stoner, it seemed as though he was more interested in getting wasted than dating. CeCe's link to Jason leads to another obvious thing. She knew Ali (Sasha Pieterse), too. It's difficult to guess why the two girls would have struck up a friendship, especially when Jason and Ali weren't exactly close. Perhaps they bonded over their mutual dislike of Jason's partying.
She "taught Alison everything she knows."
"Pretty Little Liars" producer, Oliver Goldstick says that CeCe "schooled Alison in the wicked ways of the world … She taught her everything she knows!" This revelation is exciting for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it means there is a new evil character in Rosewood. With Mona (Janel Parrish) locked away, the girls need someone new on the outside to worry about. Secondly, what could possibly have made such a young girl so cynical? CeCe is sure to have a very interesting backstory to tell. Finally -- and perhaps the most telling -- is the phrasing of Goldstick's words. He used the present tense when talking about Ali. Is this a hint that Miss DiLaurentis isn't really dead?
Her first entrance will be in an episode titled "Crazy."
When an episode is named "Crazy," and a new character is entering the show, it's hard not to put two and two together. Granted, it could merely be a coincidence, but looking at the other hints we've been given about her, it seems highly likely that CeCe might be nuts! Any girl who could teach Ali to be so twisted is sure to have a few screws loose. Although she is currently only confirmed for one episode, it would be great to see her as a recurring guest because it sounds like she has a lot of stories to tell that could help Ali's murder investigation.
