Private Practice star Caterina Scorsone has a bun in the oven!
The actress, 30, is expecting her first child with musician husband Rob Giles, her rep confirms to Us Weekly. In an ironic twist, fans of the ABC medical drama will learn that the actress' character, Dr. Amelia Shepard, is pregnant on Thursday's episode.

"Thanks so much for all the love everybody! It's overwhelming," Scorsone tweeted Thursday. "We couldn't be happier. So glad we finally get to share the news."

Scorsone's husband is a member of the band The Rescues. His music has been featured on Private Practice, One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy.
