ABC was the only network with an original broadcast on Thursday night, but the “20/20″ special could not compete with CBS’ comedy reruns.
CBS was first in ratings and in total viewers last night, on the strength of “The Big Bang Theory” and “The Millers” repeats.
For ABC, the “20/20″ special, “Secrets of the Castle: Beyond Downtown Abbey,” earned a 1.0/3 and 4.8 million viewers.
CBS was first in ratings with a 1.4 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and first in total viewers with an average of 6.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. The network aired entirely reruns, as did all nets save ABC in one timeslot.
ABC and NBC tied for second in ratings, each with a 1.1/3. ABC was second in viewers with 5.1 million. NBC was third in viewers with 3.4 million.
Following a repeat, ABC aired the “20/20″ special at 9 p.m.
Univision was in fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in total viewers with 2.9 million.
Telemundo was in fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and sixth in viewers with 1.4 million.
Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/1 and fifth in total viewers with 1.5 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in total viewers with 905,000.
