Ratings: Was Halloween a Trick or Treat for Your Favorite Shows?

It appears as though Halloween might have spooked off some viewers. Even Wednesday night stalwarts Modern Family and Criminal Minds saw decreased ratings.

Modern Family still took the night with a 4.1 rating in the adults-18-to-49 demographic, down from 4.9 last week. Despite being down a bit in the demo, Criminal Minds scored the most viewers of the night with 11.99 million.

Overall, Fox won the night with the first live X Factor   of the season, which averaged 7.37 million viewers and 2.6 rating in the demo over two hours.

Elsewhere, 30 Rock's special Wednesday night episode scored 3.6 million viewers and a 1.2, tying with Animal Practice's rating last week. The CW's Supernatural  was the only show to gain in the ratings Wednesday, as it drew 2.11 million viewers and 0.9 in the demo.
