While NBC's numbers for the night are approximate due to the nature of live sports, the network currently holds the top spot in the advertiser-preferred 18-49 demographic with a 3.3 rating/8 share and in total viewers 9.9 million total viewers. The pre-game show at 7 p.m. posted a 3.0/9 with 10.2 million total viewers. The game itself at 7:30 drew a 3.7/11, down 8 percent from the preliminary ratings for last year's game -- but it was still the night's best performance in the demo. The game scored 9.8 million total viewers.
Fox drew second place in the demo with a 1.9/5 and was fourth in total viewers with 3.9 million. After a "Bob's Burgers" repeat at 7, "The Cleveland Show" dropped slightly from its last original two weeks ago with a 1.2/3, and drew 2.6 million total viewers. "The Simpsons" at 8 had a 2.4/6 and took 5.3 million total viewers, while a new "Bob's Burgers" at 8:30 slid 13 percent from its last original two weeks ago for a 2.0/5. It had 4.2 million total viewers. "Family Guy" at 9 was also down 13 percent, taking a 2.8/7, and 5.6 million total viewers. "American Dad" at 9:30 dropped 13 percent for a 2.1/5 in the demo and drew 4.2 million total viewers.
CBS took third place in ratings and second in total viewers with a 1.5/4 and 9.7 million. "60 Minutes" at 7 had a 1.7/5 and 11.5 million total viewers, the night's largest audience. After an "NCIS" repeat at 8, "The Good Wife" at 9 slid 21 percent from its last original two weeks ago, hitting a series low of 1.5/4. It took 9.3 million total viewers. "The Mentalist" at 10 dropped 14 percent from its last original two weeks ago for a 1.8/5, and took 10.3 million total viewers.
ABC came in fourth in ratings and third in total viewers with a 1.2/3 and 5.2 million. Following repeats of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "Once Upon a Time," the Hallmark Hall of Fame special "The Makeover" drew a 1.1/3 -- down 27 percent from last year's special -- and had 5.2 million total viewers.
