RATINGS RAT RACE: ‘Secret Millionaire’ & ‘Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss’ Premieres Down; ‘Miss USA’ Falls

ABC’s duel premieres and the Miss USA pageant all took a hit Sunday night. The 8 PM season three debut of Secret Millionaire (1.5/5) on ABC was down 56% from last year’s in-season premiere.  The two-hour Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition (1.5/4) that followed at 9 PM shed 32% from its June 6, 2011 debut last year. NBC had an Adele: Live in London (1.7/5) special at 8 PM with the Grammy winner. It was a win for Miss Rhode Island but the 62nd Annual Miss USA Pageant (1.8/5) slid 18% according to Fast Nationals from last year’s contest. Broadcast live, Miss USA drew in just over 6.1 million viewers.

NBC took the night among Adults 18-49 but CBS, which went with a new 60 Minutes and a night of repeats, won a tight victory in total viewers with 5.975 million to NBC’s 5.780 million.

60 Minutes (1.4/5) was flat with its last show two weeks ago drawing the biggest audience of the night with just over 9.5 million in total viewers. Also at 7PM, Dateline (0.9/3) was up 29% from its last show three weeks back. ABC ran a repeat of America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.2/4) at 7 PM.

Starting with American Dad (0.9/3) at 7 PM, Fox went with repeats all night. The network ran The Cleveland Show (1.0/3), The Simpsons (1.2/4), Bob’s Burgers (1.2/4), Family Guy (1.8/5) and another American Dad (1.5/4) wrapping up the night. CBS had Dogs In The City (0.6/2), The Good Wife (0.8/2) and at 10 PM, CSI: Miami (0.8/2)
