The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ take on ‘The View’!

Bravo fans received a special treat on ABC's "The View." Three of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" made an appearance to dish about their newest episodes. It's Season 3 of the most ritzy edition of the reality TV franchise.

Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, and Brandi Glanville brought their best behavior to the house that Barbara built. Taylor Armstrong and Adrienne Maloof were noticeably absent. Both Taylor and Adrienne have experienced high-profile divorces that included allegations of physical abuse.

Maloof and her plastic surgeon hubby, Paul Nassif, recently split. Taylor's ex-husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide just before the start of Season 2. The presence of either woman sadly would have created a dark tone on the morning chat fest. Kim Richards, freshly out of rehab, and newest cast member Yolanda Foster also did not appear.

"The View" took an interesting approach to the interview with the three "wives." First, Kyle, Lisa, and Brandi were interviewed by Barbara Walters and Joy Behar. In the follow-up segment, Sherri Shepherd and Elisabeth Hasselbeck took a turn with the Bravolebrities. Whoopi Goldberg apparently opted to sit this one out, although she did appear throughout the rest of the program.

Hilarity ensued almost immediately when Barbara said sarcastically to Brandi, the resident Beverly Hills sexpot, "Thank you for dressing for a morning show." Brandi was wearing a sliver of a bombshell dress and sky-high heels. Joy later asked Brandi, a former model, "How tall do you wanna be? Seven foot four?" Barbara told Brandi that "no matter what, you have given the program a look that was much needed..." whatever that means.

Barbara spoke to Kyle about her family legacy. She pointed out that Kyle's sister is Kathy Hilton, mother of Paris Hilton, and that her sister Kim Richards is also a castmate on the show. Paris didn't even rate an on-air mention. Walters tried to ascertain in earnest why Kyle was on the show asking, "Why? You don't need the money. Is it the money? Is it the fame?" Kyle explained that as a child star, she was already used to the spotlight. She spoke about the 'fly on the wall' factor for fans of reality TV, and highlighted book deals and other opportunities that have come her way as a result of the show.

Barbara and Joy then turned their attention to "Ms. Vanderfabulous" as Camille Grammer called Lisa last season. Incidentally, the ladies emphasized that we can look forward to on-camera moments with Camille all season long. Although Lisa is the definition of wealthy, she said that the show helped fill a void in her life after her children left home. Lisa and her husband are very successful in the restaurant industry. Asked by Barbara, "Are you a provocateur?" Lisa responded with her trademark laugh. All we needed was Giggy!

Brandi was upfront about needing the show to support her children as a single mother. She said that the case was the same for Taylor. The best moment was when Brandi was asked if she had any sympathy for LeAnn Rimes rehab-worthy problems. Rimes famously "stole" Brandi's husband Eddie Cibrian. Of course, Brandi gave her best deadpan stare and responded, "No."

We can't wait to see what our Bev Hills homegirls do next!
