Report: Diddy in Talks to Judge American Idol

Move over, Mariah? Sean "Diddy" Combs is the latest name to be bandied about as a potential judge on American Idol, according to the New York Post.

Producers at Fox, who are looking to fill the third judge's chair on the popular singing competition, have reached out to the music and clothing mogul, the Post reports.

Other celebs vying for the position include Nick Jonas, who said last week that joining Idol would be "a dream come true."

Report: Nick Jonas and Pharrell Williams in Talks to Join American Idol

Last month, the network announced that Mariah Carey would be replacing Jennifer Lopez on the judging panel, after Lopez and Steven Tyler announced their departures from the show. Carey will reportedly earn $18 million for the gig and will work alongside third judge Randy Jackson, who is said to be returning.

Reps for both Fox and Diddy told TV Guide they had no comment on the report.
