Report: Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez Tapped to Host The X Factor

Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez have signed on to host The X Factor, according to TMZ.

Kardashian had been an early frontrunner to nab the hosting gig, as the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has a similar fan base as new judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato.

Lopez, the Saved by the Bell alum who currently hosts Extra, and Kardashian are expected to join X Factor in November for the live shows. They would replace the ousted Steve Jones, who was initially paired with Nicole Scherzinger before she moved to the judges' table. She was also unceremoniously ousted along with Paula Abdul as X Factor underwent an overhaul, leaving only Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as judges before the additions of Spears and Lovato.

Fox had no comment on the report.

The X Factor debuted to 7.5 million viewers in September, lower than NBC competitor The Voice, which drew 10.7 million viewers.
