As Revenge's new hunk on the block, Barry Sloane knows his character, Aiden Mathis, may be walking on very thin ice that could crack come February. It doesn't help that creator Mike Kelley says Mathis "may play a part in what happened in the flash-forward with Jack's boat."
When we met the mysterious man from Takeda's training camp, he's harboring a revenge plot of his own — not to mention a serious crush on Emily (Emily VanCamp). "There's quite a strong history between them," explains Sloane. "A lot of things have gone on that leave her not entirely sure she can trust him now." Chiefly what Kelley calls "an extremely violent" action at the end of this Sunday's episode that hinders Emily's attempt to locate her mama.
But by early November, Emily and Aiden will be spending more time together. Says VanCamp, "I like to think they're going to have this Mr. & Mrs. Smith—type relationship as two trained killers who take their anger out on each other." Hey, it worked for Brangelina.
Revenge airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC.
