Richie Sambora: Denise Richards' Adoption "Made Me Fall in Love With Her More"

Richie Sambora and Denise Richards are back together and more in love than ever!

The 52-year-old Bon Jovi rocker was honored in Beverly Hills Monday for the 12th Annual Golden Hearts Awards and spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about reuniting with his ex.

    PHOTOS: Denise's dating history

Sambora and Richards first dated from 2006 to 2007 after he split from Heather Locklear and she called it quits with Charlie Sheen. Since then, Richards, 41, has added to her family -- two daughters, Sam J. Sheen, 8, and Lola Rose Sheen, 6, -- by adopting a baby girl in 2011 named Eloise, now almost a year old.

"Which is a great inspiration to me!" Sambora told Us of Richards' adoption. "That is just a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful thing. When she did that, it just made me fall in love with her more for god sakes."

Why is that? "Because it's such a beautiful thing to do," he explained. "It's such a giving thing."

Sambora added, "Eloise is great!" But that doesn't mean he's changed any diapers!

"No, I haven't done that but trust me, I did my time with my daughter!" the rock star dad explained of his now 14-year-old daughter, Ava, with ex-wife Locklear.

Still, Richards told Us that Sambora is "amazing" with her new baby girl. "Everyone just adores her," she gushed.

And Ava is very supportive of her dad's relationship with Richards. "I think they are so cute together and I couldn’t be happier!" she told Us, adding, she would "love it" if they got married. "They are adorable."
