Robin Roberts will return to "Good Morning America" on Feb. 20, she announced on the show Thursday.
Roberts began medical leave in August to undergo a bone marrow for the blood and bone disease MDS. She will return to work five months to the day after the transplant.
In a blog post, Roberts said her doctor had cleared her to return to work.
"I'm excited to re-join my wonderful 'GMA' family. I'm also looking forward to thanking YOU ... for your many prayers and well wishes," wrote Roberts (pictured on her blog, left). "Your compassion has been an enormous source of comfort to me and my family."

Roberts, 52, beat breast cancer in 2007. She announced her MDS diagnosis in June.
Soon after taking medical leave, Roberts allowed "GMA" cameras to record her undergoing the transplant. She also turned up with her "GMA" colleagues at Sam Champion's wedding in December.
