Ron Jeremy is in critical condition due to an aneurysm near his heart, TMZ reports. According to the site, the porn legend was admitted to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital on Jan. 29 after he experienced severe chest pain.

Jeremy's manager, Mike Esterman, told TMZ that the 59-year-old adult film icon drove himself to the hospital on Tuesday afternoon. There, doctors examined him and discovered a dangerous aneurysm in his chest.
Sometime later, the star's condition worsened and he was transferred to the ICU. On the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 30, he was being prepped for surgery. No other information was immediately available.

Jeremy is one of the most famous adult film actors in the world. He has appeared in more than 1,700 X-rated flicks, as well as at least 50 mainstream movies, including The Boondock Saints.
