In the "Supernatural" episode "Defending Your Life," we saw Dean feeling guilty about killing a girl who Sam had left to live. Sam tells him that he is grateful for letting her live, but Dean starts to feel guilty. Sam almost finds out during a court session led by an Egyptian God, Osiris. In the episode "The Girl Next Door," Dean killed Sam's ex-girlfriend, who was a brain-eating demon that needed food for her son. She wasn't doing any harm as she was taking humans that were already dead, so Sam let her live until he told Dean. Dean purposely turned up and killed her instead, leaving her son behind, who caught Dean. The son threatened to come get Dean one day. So, what will happen if Sam ever finds this out? Here are a few ideas on how Sam might find out the truth in the future.
Will Dean Confess to Someone Else About What he Did?
Dean might need to confide in somebody one day and that person could be Bobby. He is the closest person to Dean. Would Bobby ever tell Sam that he went behind his back? It does not seem likely. Of course, it could slip out of Bobby's mouth one day. Bobby might even tell Dean to confess to Sam what he did if the son came looking for Dean. It would break Sam's heart if he found out by accident. The best thing for Dean to do is keep his mouth shut, because if Sam finds out, he may just leave Dean and go his own way!
Could a Demon Turn Up and Tell Sam?
Demons have their ways of knowing things, so Crowley could one day get his own back on Dean if he knew his secret. Would Crowley tell Sam? He would if he wanted something badly. Perhaps the son of the girl that Dean killed will turn up and tell Sam himself. This would be shocking for Sam if it happened. Sam would be devastated. He would feel let down by Dean if he had to find out from a demon rather than his own brother. They would end up arguing. Of course, Sam may understand in the end and forgive Dean. Let's hope that Dean confesses before Sam finds out from someone else!
