Savannah Guthrie has been named co-host of Today, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
Guthrie has long been speculated to replace Ann Curry since news of the co-host's departure broke last week.
The Biz: Inside Ann Curry's Today exit — what went wrong
Guthrie's promotion came Friday, one day after Curry's tearful farewell. Guthrie, who's filled in for Curry before, co-hosted Friday's episode, but there was no on-air mention of her new position.
Before her promotion, Guthrie was co-host of the 9 a.m. hour with Natalie Morales and Al Roker, a job she will continue to do for the foreseeable future.
In addition to her hosting duties, Guthrie also serves as Today's chief legal analyst.
