Showtime has renewed The Borgias for a third season, the network announced Friday.

The Renaissance drama, which stars Jeremy Irons as Pope Alexander VI, will begin shooting Season 3 this summer in Budapest, Hungary.
Currently airing its second season, the most recent episode of The Borgias received 579,000 viewers.
The Borgias airs Sundays at 10/9c on Showtime.
