Simon & Schuster has announced that Snooki from "Jersey Shore" will publish a second book in 2012 that's tentatively titled "Gorilla Beach." In doing so, the pint-sized partier will join the growing ranks of reality stars who've gone on to pen multiple books. The following famous faces have all been formally published more than once, albeit with varying levels of success.
With notable appearances on "Jon & Kate Plus 8," "Kate Plus 8" and "Dancing With the Stars," Kate has made the reality show rounds, but she also has four published books. Her first, "Multiple Blessings," was published in 2008. "Eight Little Faces" came next in 2009; like her first book, it debuted at No. 5 on the New York Times' bestseller list. "I Just Want You to Know" was published in 2010, but despite the mom's best promotional efforts, Jim Milliot of Publishers Weekly called the book's initial sales "not that impressive."
Kate was also set to publish a cookbook called "Love is in the Mix" in November 2009, but the book was shelved in the summer after she and Jon announced their divorce.
Although we first got to know L.C. on shows like "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills," the style-savvy celebutante also has a trio of books under her designer belt. "L.A. Candy" was her first; published in 2009, the book peaked at No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. Conrad spun her first book's success into a trilogy: "Sweet Little Lies" and "Sugar and Spice" were both released in 2010.
Lauren hasn't rested on her literary laurels, however. In April 2011, HarperCollins signed her to a three-book deal. The first edition of the upcoming trilogy, to be called "The Fame Game," is scheduled for a 2012 release.
The "Tori & Dean" actress first became an author in 2008 with "sTORI Telling," which hit No. 1 on the New York Times bestseller list. The autobiography earned critical acclaim for its honesty; Bravo TV even gave it an A-List Award in 2009 for the year's best celebrity autobiography. Spelling followed that effort with two more autobiographies -- "Mommywood" in 2009 and "Uncharted Territori" in 2010 -- and a children's picture book called "Presenting Tallulah," also published in 2010.
Bethenny, who's appeared on "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart," "The Real Housewives of New York City," "Bethenny Getting Married," "Bethenny Ever After" and "Skating With the Stars," is also a trained chef and founder of the Skinnygirl brand. Accordingly, her two books focus on dieting and cooking. "Naturally Thin," published in 2009, discusses portion control, healthy eating strategies and other "rules" to help readers "think like a naturally thin person." "The Skinnygirl Dish" was published later in 2009, and features recipes, substitution charts and cooking tips for home cooks.
Reformed wild child Richie has made a remarkable turnaround in her personal life, and it's translated into her professional life. The House of Harlow 1960 designer has two published books: "The Truth About Diamonds," which was published in 2005, and "Priceless," which was released in 2010.
