Spring TV shows are featuring a cross section of womanhood in a variety of roles. From comedy to drama to reality - here are some of the hottest women on TV.
The Sweet Woman
Emma Pillsbury on "Glee" is without a doubt one of the cutest characters on TV. A great deal of her charm comes from her being employed as a school guidance counselor despite suffering from a great deal of personal anxiety and germaphobe issues. Recently Emma sang "Afternoon Delight" to the glee club in an attempt to encourage them to abstain from sex. It was the funniest performance on "Glee" in a long time. The 70s dresses, the gently swaying on stage and her earnest belief that the song was about a dessert were extremely endearing.
The Extreme Woman
Earlier this month on "Desperate Housewives" Bree Van de Kamp told her preacher that she felt like Job - the Biblical Job. When her preacher responded that he was familiar with the character, his delivery was exceptionally amusing because it squarely encapsulated Bree's character. Bree is exceptional in her extremity. Bree is either extremely mean or extremely giving, extremely passionate or extremely frigid. Despite only recently ending her June November romance, Bree threw herself into finding a kidney for Susan and was ready to donate her own to her friend. The extremes of Bree better show all of us the fluctuations within ourselves.
The Fashionista Reality Woman
"America's Next Top Model" features guest stars from time to time who style the ladies in their own fashion line instead of Tyra or her assistants doing the work. A recent episode of "ANTM" featured stylist to the stars Rachel Zoe. She draped the models in her bold, animalistic garments and coupled them with similarly patterned animal counterparts. Sexy! Rachel Zoe is extremely intelligent in her given field and she really added a touch of reality to a reality show that can wonder into fashion dream land a bit too often.
The Dramatic Woman
Emmy Rossum has the market cornered on drama with her role in the Showtime series "Shameless." From the opening episode to her mid-March explosion directed at her mother, Emmy has showed of her acting skills to a level that some of her popular films did not allow. Extreme dedication to craft is always hot! Luckily for fans, Emmy and "Shameless" will return for a second season after season one folds at the end of March 2011!
