A surprising double elimination left "Survivor" fans shocked and wondering what will happen next. It also brings the total number of Savaii members on "Redemption island" to three. Let's take a look at which Savaii tribe members are on "Redemption island," and how they got there.
Keith Tollefson
Looking at Keith you would think he would be a force to be reckoned with. However, he hasn't been all that spectacular this season. He quickly joined forces with Ozzy (Oscar Lusth), and that very well may have been what caused his downfall. Keith was sent to "Redemption island" on Episode 8 after John Cochran turned against his tribe and voted with the former Upolu tribe. We haven't seen Keith excel in any challenges this season, so it will be interesting to see him battle for his "Survivor" life on "Redemption island."
Ozzy
This is Ozzy's third time on "Survivor," so he knew he would have his work cut out for him this season. The other castaways know what he is capable of doing because they had the chance to see him in action on past seasons. At the beginning of "Survivor: South Pacific," it seemed Ozzy would sail through to the finals because his tribe mates idolized and feared him. However, after the tribe lost several challenges, the tides started to change. Jim Rice and John Cochran formed a plan to weaken Ozzy by voting off his closest ally, Elyse Umemoto. That betrayal sent Ozzy into a fit of rage that nearly ended all tribal alliances. However, Cochran's betrayals didn't stop there. Once the tribes merged into one large tribe, Cochran jumped ship and joined the former Upolu tribe, thus giving them the numbers advantage. That advantage made it easy for the former Upolu tribe to send Ozzy to "Redemption island" for the second time this season.
Jim Rice
Jim also fell victim to the Upolu numbers game. Once Keith and Ozzy were gone, Jim was the only male left from the former Savaii tribe, which made him an obvious target for the former Upolu tribe. Jim didn't go down without a fight, he schemed right up until the vote, but was unsuccessful. Jim was sent home on Episode 9.
"Survivor" host Jeff Probst announced that someone from "Redemption island" will return to the game. However, it isn't clear when, so only time will tell if Keith, Ozzy or Jim will be the lucky castoff that returns to finish "Survivor: South Pacific."
