    Third Elmo Accuser Surfaces

Another man has come forward and alleged that he engaged in underage sexual activity with Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash, when he was 16 years old. This marks the third man who has claimed to have engaged in underage sexual activity with Clash.

The third accuser, who is being referred to in court papers as "John," alleges that Clash contacted him through a gay chat line in 2000. He alleges that he travelled from New Jersey to Clash's Manhattan apartment after speaking on the telephone with him for a few days, where Clash allegedly gave him alcohol and the two engaged in sexual activity.

He also claims that the two engaged in a sexual relationship after he had turned 18 once he graduated from high school and moved to New York City. He alleges that he didn't discover that Clash was the voice of Elmo until after he was 18 years old and did an Internet search for "Kevin Clash," though he saw numerous Elmo dolls and photographs of Elmo with "famous people such as Beyonce and Tyra Banks," in his apartment.

The new allegation comes six days after Cecil Singleton, 24, filed a $5 million lawsuit against Clash, and two weeks after Sheldon Stephens, 24, made the first underage accusations.

Clash resigned from Sesame Street last Tuesday.
