TLC's '19 Kids and Counting' Family Target of an Extortion Plot

The Duggars typically make the news because of a baby, but this week, the famed family who are stars of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, made headlines for another reason. Extortion.

According to federal court documents, Iowa resident Teresa Hunt has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to extort the family, who live in Tontitown, Ark.

Radar Online reports that Hunt was allegedly demanding the cancellation of the TLC show or $10,000 from the network's parent company, Discovery Communications in exchange for not releasing photos of one of the Duggars in "apparently intimate situations."

The arrest was made Feb. 4 by a federal agent posing as a representative from Discovery.

According to Radar, the Duggar family member in question was 25-year-old Amy Duggar, who is actually the daughter of patriarch Jim Bob's older sister.

Recently the TLC stars were in Iowa to campaign for GOP candidate Rick Santorum.

Yeah those Duggars. Those horrible and never-politically correct Duggars!
As such, they are ripe for the pickin's by those who thrive on controversy, toxic behavior, dysfunction and mayhem.
What with lots of love, generous hearts, compassion, respect, understanding, open-mindedness and a strong sense of FAMILY and FAITH with NO drugs, NO adultery, NO disrespect, NO sleeping around, NO teen pregnancies, NO transgender's, NO trans-sexuals, NO gays, NO lesbians, NO unwed moms & dads, No domestic violence, NO bullies, NO anti-American's, NO Satan worshipers, NO thieves, NO moochers, and NO deadbeats.....why celebrate this family when we can attack them?
How abnormally NORMAL they really are! How uncool is that, right?
I think it's a sad commentary about humanity when others are permitted to target those (who are God fearing, well adjusted and truly HAPPY!) with such venom and hatred. May

  you are so right ekana the duggers are a wonderful family i have watched that show since the beganing , and if all people would live like they do this would be a better world may god keep blessing that family

But if they are taking money and I have to work my butt off for what I get, thats what they get is EXACTLY what they diserve. I don't care what good they do. It only takes ONE time to get caught. NO ONE is above the law based on good deeds or their religion. Expcially when they are in the public eye as much as the Duggers they should know they are citicized for every move they make. Teresa should know better than to make a HUGE one. She did it, she should have been arrested and she should have to pay for the crime she committed. RELIGION, FAMILY, AND GOOD DOINGS HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH IT.
