Top Three Astro Performances on 'The X Factor'

After hearing contestant after contestant sing on "The X Factor" and other performance shows, it was nice to see Astro take to the stage and rap week after week. He wrote his own lyrics and imposed his rhymes over popular songs. During the top seven results show, Astro was eliminated from the competition and missed his chance at winning $5 million. Even though Astro lost, he had several memorable performances and should go on to a successful career. Relive his top three performances that wowed audiences and kept him on the show for so long.

    "Lose Yourself" - Eminem

The Oscar winning rap song was a perfect choice for Astro during movie week and he did the song justice. Astro applied his own themed lyrics over Eminem's original verses, but he kept key lines and phrases within the song, including the chorus. "Lose Yourself" was really a moment for Astro as he cemented his credibility as a true star and future rapper.

"I'll Be Missing You" - Puff Daddy

In a song that was made before he was born, Astro dedicated the lyrics to the fallen stars of the hip-hop world and he did them justice. Astro put his emotion behind the lyrics and made viewers play it back again to hear the verses and understand all of the words he spits out. It would have been cool to see him try to sing the chorus, but rapping is what he excels at and even a little singing could have had him voted out a lot sooner.

"Stop Looking at My Mom" - Astro

When Astro first took to "The X Factor" stage, fans did not know what to expect from the young star from Brooklyn. He immediately showed his stage presence by calling out Simon in a prewritten bit that led right to his original rap "Stop Looking at My Mom." The funny rap was the perfect hip-hop song for younger audiences and showed his potential to become a star. Each performance grew from this until he finally made it to the live shows.
