There's nothing finer than a good-looking man in a good-looking suit, and a classic three-piece suit is look that really makes a statement. The look sort of fell out of fashion after World War II, due to fabric scarcity, but it has made a resurgence in recent years. In fact, a number of TV's cutest leading men are currently rocking this look. Here are our picks for the TV characters who make a three-piece suit look incredible.
Harvey Specter, " Suits "
With his good looks, huge bankroll, and attorney swagger, Harvey Spectre seems like a bit of a dandy. But once he opens his mouth, it's clear to see that he's not just a pretty face, but is in fact one of the best attorneys in the city. Mike may give Harvey a hard time for spending so much money on his tailored suits, but Harvey knows that the clothes make the man.
Neal Caffrey, "White Collar"
We're not sure who decided that all of USA's leading men needed to wear three-piece suits, but we're not complaining. Toss in a few of his signature fedoras, and it's not hard to see how Neal is able to use his charms to disarm anyone he's trying to con. And let's be honest: without his nice suit and old-school hats, Neal Caffrey would leave a pretty sleazy first impression.
Patrick Jane, "The Mentalist"
Master of the cold reading, Patrick Jane almost always wears a three-piece suit...unless he's just rocking the waistcoat. Either way, he looks pretty handsome for a guy who's always in the field, trying to solve crimes.
Will Schuester, "Glee"
Okay, most teachers can barely afford an off-the-rack suit jacket from Marshalls, so we're not sure exactly how Mr. Schue can afford his cute three-piece suits. Although, to be fair, we often see him just wearing the vest and shirtsleeves. But no matter what he is wearing, one thing's for sure: that Emma is one lucky gal.
Kevin Ryan, "Castle"
Granted, he doesn't wear them as frequently as Harvey Specter, but Kevin Ryan has been known to don a three-piece suit from time to time, and he appears to have quite a collection of very fetching vests. And, you know...that bullet-proof one.
The Doctor, "Doctor Who"
With 11 different actors and almost 50 years of episodes, the Doctor has been on TV for years. And in his various guises, he's often been spotted in a three-piece suit. In the two part episode " Human Nature/The Family Of Blood," the Tenth Doctor is hiding out in a school, where he is working as a teacher. He wears a brown tweed three-piece suit, plus robes and a mortarboard, and he kicks butt while rocking it.
