Now that the networks have decided who has made the cut and who hasn't, it's time to take a look at what canceled shows fans are going to miss the most. From hit crime dramas to legal dramas to sci-fi thrillers, these are some of the most missed shows of the recent bout of cancellations.CSI" to watch on those lonely nights.
While this particular show continued to pull viewers in during its second season. (How could it not when it had the inimitable Kathy Bates as one of its stars?) it just didn't have the clout with the younger audience to make it worth renewing for NBC. With its delightful mix of comedy, drama, and legalese, this show, along with other legal dramas that have went the way of the Dodo, will be dearly missed by those of us who enjoy this particular brand of dramatic television.
Finally, we come to "Terra Nova," which from the beginning seemed more like something that should be on Syfy than on Fox, but for some reason it ended up on that powerhouse network. Unfortunately, this very network location may have been the show's undoing. After all, it does require a substantial investment to keep up special effects like that, and it's not every (or any) broadcaster that is going to foot this rather large bill without the ratings. However, for those of us who enjoy drama of the primordial kind, there may be hope if someone decides to pick up the show.
Clearly, there are a lot of shows out there that fans will dearly miss. While most of them have gone into the history books of television, we can still remember them fondly, and we can also continue to watch our DVDs even if the shows are no longer on the networks.
