Sometimes, the funniest TV moments take place on shows that aren't supposed to be comedic. Whether it's an unplanned moment on a reality TV series or an unfortunately choice of words during a dramatic scene, some TV shows just give fans the giggles. Here are some of the most memorable unintentionally hilarious TV moments.
"Project Runway": The judges lose it during the WWE Divas challengeDuring Season 4, the designers were tasked with creating a unique garment for a WWE Diva. But watch the faces of the judges during the runway: They can barely keep it together! In a recent interview, Heidi Klum spoke out about the incident.
"Once there was this challenge: Design outfits for female wrestlers. They were lovely girls, but they're not models," she explained. "They came out and did this crazy stuff. And they're super tan. We couldn't stop laughing. The producers had to wipe our tears off. The wrestlers knew we were laughing. We felt bad, but it was so funny."
"Dexter": The mob has a silly nameIn Season 7, Dexter has to face off against an international crime syndicate called the "Koshka Brotherhood." But for anyone who speaks Russian, this is a hilarious name for a group of thugs. "Koshka" means "kitty" or "female cat" in Russian -- not exactly the most intimidating name.
"True Blood": A werewolf has an unfortunate name
So, there's this one werewolf on "True Blood." He gets killed. In the next episode, his grief-stricken girlfriend is sobbing. That's when she screams out, "They killed my Cooter!" (Cooter being the awkward name of the werewolf in question.) Needless to say, this dramatic scene had many TV fans laughing out loud.
"Monk": Santa Claus is a killerIn one episode of "Monk," an old woman is attacked in the streets by a mugger. She runs into an adjacent street, where she finds someone dressed as Santa. The old woman tells the Santa, "A man just tried to rob me!"
Santa replies, "I know," and hits the old woman over the head with a pipe. It should be sad and dramatic, but it was just hilarious. Part of the reason it was so funny: This episode marked the second time that a guy in a Santa suit was a killer on "Monk." San Francisco is a weird place.
"Saved by the Bell": Jessie gets hooked on pillsThe writers on "Saved by the Bell" wanted to do a "very special episode" about the dangers of drug abuse, but they couldn't use any hard drugs because it would tarnish the squeaky clean image of the characters. So Jessie ended up getting "addicted" to caffeine pills, which she was using to stay awake and study. Sadly, Jessie's breakdown was imperfectly acted, and the whole episode turned into a comedy. Who can forget her delivery of the line, "I'm so excited! I'm so excited! I'm so…scared!"
