In the "Suits" world, most characters are total jerks. Once in awhile, however, a character who seems like they may be a jerk is actually a nice person. They are simply misunderstood. "Suits" has had many misunderstood characters, and many of them are good people who are accused of crimes by jerks.
Dominic Barone (Titus Welliver)
In "Inside Track," we meet Dominic Barone, a man who initially appears to be a bit of a jerk. He's really just a loyal employee who wants to keep to himself. Although he would prefer not to, he puts his neck out by trying to become CEO in order to save his job and the jobs of his coworkers.
Quentin Sainz (Russell Hornsby)
"Dirty Little Secrets" introduces us to Jessica's (Gina Torres) ex-husband, Quentin Sainz. Everything points to his guilt. He seems like a total jerk until we learn that he's just the opposite. He's actually a really good guy who is trying to save lives.
Gabby Stone (Jenny Mollen)
Gabby Stone was misunderstood by Harvey (Gabriel Macht) in the episode "Tricks of the Trade." Mike (Patrick J. Adams) knew she was innocent. We knew she was innocent. Harvey just couldn't see it until Mike proved it to him. It makes you wonder who else Harvey may have been wrong about before Mike came along.
Lola Jensen (Amanda Crew)
In "Identity Crisis," Mike is at risk of being exposed by Lola Jensen, the daughter of a businessman (James Morrison). Although she is a jerk in the beginning, she gives Mike much less to worry about in the end by faking his law degree. Sometimes helping out a misunderstood hacker can be really helpful in the long run.
Clifford Danner (Neil Brown Jr.)
Clifford Danner, in the episode "Dog Fight," was the most misunderstood character in Season 1. He was accused of murder and spent 12 long years in prison. It turns out he's a good guy who was misunderstood because of Harvey's former mentor, Cameron Dennis (Gary Cole). Dennis suppressed evidence, sending an innocent man to prison and letting the real murderers go free.
