Vampire Diaries' Trevino: It's Time for Tyler to Take Charge - But There Will Be Consequences

After weeks of amassing his army, The Vampire Diaries' Tyler is ready to take down Klaus. But what happens when Klaus catches wind of his plan?

"As soon as he learns what's going on with Tyler and how there's this hybrid revolution happening, [Klaus] will be utterly furious," Joseph Morgan tells TVGuide.com. "We've seen some of what Klaus is capable of, but he's going to go very far when this comes to a conclusion. He won't take that lightly."

The Vampire Diaries Debate: Should Elena and Damon stay together?

In the last few episodes, Tyler (Michael Trevino) has worked with his friend Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) to help his fellow hybrids break Klaus' sire bond. But all of Tyler's work may be for naught since Haley seems to have her own agenda. "Like anything else [in Mystic Falls], nothing ever goes according to plan, something always goes wrong in the middle, and you have to adapt," Trevino tells us. "[Stefan and Tyler] both have to figure out how they can both get what they need accomplished, hopefully, also saving people's lives."

But while the relationship between the Mystic Falls gang and Klaus used to be slightly more black and white, he's also developed certain relationships and partnerships along the way. While Trevino says Caroline's recent behavior towards Klaus is "all an act," he does admit that "at the end of the day, emotions come out. Klaus is a charismatic immortal!"

Morgan also sees how his character has inched his way closer into Caroline's heart. "He's done a lot of terrible things in the past and she would be reluctant to just forgive him for those things, but she's starting to understand him a little more," Morgan says. "Certainly in Episode 7, when they had the champagne and he told her about the hummingbird, there was a definite move forward in their relationship. [He's]opening up to her in that way, laying himself on the line and just being a little more charming and less threatening and aggressive."

Who's the sexiest Vampire Diaries star?

Stefan (Paul Wesley) also has his own mission, and, despite always being on Tyler's side, he now needs Klaus to help him find the vampire cure. "We'll see in the midseason finale some great scenes between them including one where Klaus tells Stefan like it is and he is more open with him than he has been in a while," Morgan says.

With everything coming to a head on Thursday's episode, both Trevino and Morgan agree there will be repercussions of their showdown. "It's a huge episode for Tyler," Trevino says. "It's time to ... take charge and with that comes some consequences."

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursday at 8/7c on The CW and don't forget to watch this week's The Vampire Diaries Bite.
