'The Walking Dead': Rick (Finally) Confronts Shane (Video)

("The Walking Dead" spoiler warning: Don't read if you still plan to watch last night's episode, titled "18 Miles Out.")

We're puzzled by AMC's decision to air one of the best "Walking Dead" episodes of the season, on Oscar night. But we'll take it.

Sunday's episode found Rick finally trying to hash things out with Shane, his fellow sheriff's deputy and friend-turned-frienemy. He confronted Shane about his attitude and his lingering feelings about Rick's wife, Lori.

It happened during their mission to rid themselves of Randall -- the dude who Rick, Hershel and Glenn brought back to the farm after saving him from certain death.

Shane: "Rick, you can't just be the good guy and expect to live. Not anymore."

Rick: "I'm not the good guy anymore."

Things led to fisticuffs, and a thrown wrench awakened a mess of hungry zombies. They narrowly escaped, with Randall in tow, after Rick saved Shane from a schoolbus overrun with walkers.

But a preview of next week's episode, "Judge, Jury, Executioner" -- one of the final three episodes of season two -- suggests the issues between them aren't over.
