The Capt. of F/V Cornelia Marie for Season 7 is Tony Lara. Tony Lara however, is not new to the Cornelia Marie in fact; you may remember him from 1991 to 2000. He served as a deckhand and engineer of the fishing boat.
Other changes on the F/V Cornelia Marie for Season 7 are - Steve Ward and Freddie Maugatai are leaving the boat and will not be filmed working on the Cornelia Marie. Steve is heading to the F/V Fierce Allegiance. Freddie is heading to the F/V Wizard. According to CornelialMarie.com, the only cast members remaining on board for Season 7 are late Capt. Phil Harris's sons' Josh and Jake Harris and Ryan. Josh and Jake decided to continue with their father's passion and love of crab fishing, honoring their father on the Cornelia Marie. With a few cast members leaving, there are also a few new faces arriving -- Dale Pruitt and Troy Huls, aka, "Chief." It should be an exciting new season for the Cornelia Marie.
