Jerry Mathers played the Beaver in "Leave It To Beaver." The Cleavers had two sons, Beaver and Wally on this 50s sitcom. The Beaver, whose real name was Theodore, played the Cleaver's youngest son in this TV sitcom. Jerry Mathers played Beaver from 1957 to 1963. Jerry Mathers was the first child actor to make a deal to get a percentage of the merchandising from "Leave it To Beaver." Mathers starred in a few films, commercials, and other acting gigs after the TV sitcom ended. Today Mathers is a national spokesperson for PhRMA. This is an organization that helps uninsured, married couples, and financially struggling patients get prescriptions free or almost free. Mathers has also had a successful career in real estate development and banking, and owned and operated a catering business. Mathers has been married twice, and has a son Noah, and two daughters Mercedes and Gretchen.
Paul Peterson, "The Donna Reed Show"Paul Peterson played Jeff on "The Donna Reed Show." The Reed's had two children on this 50s TV sitcom, Jeff and Mary. Peterson played the youngest sibling on this sitcom from 1958 to 1966. After "The Donna Reed Show," Peterson had a successful record career and played several roles in featured film. Today Peterson has formed an organization called A Minor Consideration. Peterson travels the country speaking about the ordeals of child actors and actresses in Hollywood. This organization supports child stars, legislation, and education. Peterson is also an active member of The Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts. Peterson has been married three times, and has two children.
Lisa Loring, "The Addams Family"Lisa Loring played Wednesday on "The Addams Family." The Addams had two children on this 60's TV sitcom, Wednesday and Pugsley. Loring played Wednesday on the Addams Family from 1964 to 1966. After the "Addams Family," Loring had a few roles in featured films, and did a few stints on "As the World Turns." Loring entered into the dark world of drugs, alcohol and briefly starred in porno movies. Today Loring has recovered from this dark place, and is working in public relations for a hotel chain. Loring has been married three times, and has two daughters.
Mike and Joe Mayer, "I Love Lucy"Joe Mayer and his twin brother Mike played Little Ricky on "I Love Lucy." The 3-year-old-twin brothers played Little Ricky on the third, fourth and fifth season of "I Love Lucy." When it came time to sign contracts, the Mayer twins were 4 1/2-years-old, and their mother wanted them to go to regular school. The "I Love Lucy" show hired another set of twin boys, Richard and Ronald Lee Simmon, who debuted in the episode "No Children Allowed." Today Joe Mayer works at Portland General Electric as a computer analyst. Joe Mayer has been married twice, and has 10 children between both marriages. Today Mike Mayer is a special education teacher in North Hollywood.
