The "Grimm" episode, "The Thing With Feathers," was probably one of the most disgusting episodes of "Grimm" to date, and that is a good thing. It was balanced with the funny, and disgusting, idea of a woman representing "The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg," from Aesop's Fables. In this case, it was more "The Woman Who Perked Out the Golden Goiter." It was beyond disgusting, but hilarious at the same time.
The woman with the golden goiter (Azura Skye), and moments with Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), saved the episode from oblivion. It was unusual enough to be a great episode, but anyone who missed the previous episode will be a bit lost. Those who know what is going on to this point are left hanging a bit too much. Where is it all going?
What's up with Wu?
Sergeant Wu (Reggie Lee) is still eating disgusting things. If you looked away for more than half a second, you would have missed him popping a paperclip and chowing down on it. It was a funny moment, but what on Earth is going on there? What is wrong with him? What is going to happen to him? It's an interesting subplot, but it would be nice to see more than two seconds of it.
Why are they messing with poor Hank?
Hank's (Russell Hornsby) Captain Renard (Sasha Roiz) is turning him into a weird freak who can't do his job -- on purpose! He originally seemed to want to have great cops who get their jobs done. In this episode, Hank spends all his time stalking Adalind (Claire Coffee). We'd better get a resolution to this soon, because Hank is no fun when his soul is ripped out and given to some girl who enjoys playing games with him.
Does Monroe have a relationship now?
Monroe is spending a lot of time with Rosalee (Bree Turner). It's as if they suddenly have a relationship, but we hardly see anything of them. Now Nick (David Giuntoli) has two creatures to go to when he needs help. In this episode, that was their only purpose. They each helped Nick with his usual "creature problem of the week." When do we get to see more of them? Where is that relationship heading?
What's up with Juliette?
Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) seems like she would be the perfect crime fighting partner. We have so much invested in the fact that she is just too good at fighting off bad guys, which means she is probably sticking around. If she is sticking around, then what is up with her relationship with Nick? One moment, she seems to enjoy fighting off bad guys, side by side with Nick. The next moment, it's just too much for her. She hints at the idea that she is not upset about fighting off bad guys, but about the fact that Nick has been lying to her. Perhaps, if he would simply tell her the truth, then we will find out her truth, as well.
