Not winning The X Factor may have been the best thing that ever happened to finalist Rachel Crow. The 14-year-old singer is set to star in her own musical comedy series pilot as part of a talent agreement she landed with Nickelodeon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Crow has also been signed to Columbia Records in partnership with Syco, Simon Cowell's production company. Cowell served as Crow's mentor and coach on the first season of the Fox singing competition show.
X Factor's Rachel Crow: "No one should blame" Nicole
Aside from her own series, Crow has already started filming a five-episode arc on Nickelodeon's new comedy Fred: The Show, where she'll play Starr, a singer/actress who dreams of making it big. Crow's episodes are set to air this spring.
Crow placed fifth on The X Factor and memorably collapsed in tears following her elimination.
