Zsa Zsa Gabor rushed to hospital in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Zsa Zsa Gabor has been hospitalized after slipping out of consciousness at her Los Angeles-area home.

Gabor's husband, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, said Saturday that the actress had a high fever and was bleeding from a tube in her stomach.

Paramedics rushed Gabor from her Bel Air mansion to UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center.

The 94-year-old Gabor has been hospitalized repeatedly since July 2010, when she broke her hip falling from bed. Most of Gabor's right leg was amputated in January because of gangrene.

She appeared in films ranging from "Moulin Rouge" in 1952 to "Queen of Outer Space" in 1958. She also appeared on TV specials, game shows, and guest-starred on various TV series, often playing herself.

No matter who you are whether it be Al Davis or Zsa Zsa or anybody else let these people go with dignity and a kind word regardless of what they did in life.

You people who keep saying that she needs to just go..and people need to stop trying to save etc....she is scared of dying, most are...maybe she doesn't want to go, maybe she wants another month. If you think shes been through hell, that's YOUR opinion. If SHE WERE READY, she would go. Stop judging a person on their death bed because when your time is up, its going to be scary as #$%$ and I'm sure you wont appreciate everyone around you telling you to just hurry up and drop dead.

I agree with you Dak. Only God knows when her time's going to be up. Nobody should ever wish a very seriously ill person to drop dead! That's an insult right there. How would they feel if they were in her shoes? How would they feel if they were bedridden, confined to a wheelchair as the result of an car accident, suffered a broken hip by falling out of bed, had a leg amputated, came down with a high fever, coughed up blood, had pneumonia (that her sister Eva died of), and not being able to get around? They wouldn't like it one bit. After all, Jesus said to "Judge not and you shall not be judged."

As much as she was a troublemaker, both she, her husband, and her daughter need our prayers and support. Her mother, her sisters Eva and Magda, and their dear close friend Merv Griffin are all deceased. All she really has left is her husband and her daughter, but it's a shame that they don't even get along.

Everybody on here can call Prince Frederic every filthy name in the book, but at least he's been there for her and he'staking very good care of her. The other eight husbands sure didn't. But he should allow Francesca to come and see her own mother; no matter how bad they get along. If that were my mother, I would fight him tooth and nail. After all, Francesca has been in Zsa Zsa's life long before Prince Frederic was.

Let's all continue to pray for Zsa Zsa Gabor. And I'll keep saying it until I'm blue in the face: if it's God's will to heal her; let Him heal her. If it's His will to take her, then let Him take her. Only He knows how much longer she has left to live.

        Thank you.

So, let's see---If they bring her back, again, what is she coming back to?? Can she enjoy life? Can she laugh, read a good book and take a peaceful nap? Can she go outside and watch a beautiful sunrise or sunset? I strongly doubt she can do any of the aforementioned. Let this woman die with whatever small shred of dignity she has left. Let her go. Make no mistake, here, this is a bunch of greedy MD's trying to drain her bank accounts before they let her pass on. They do this to anyone with money unless the family steps in and expressly forbids it. Of course then there are some who will condemn the family for doing so. Does anyone win, here? Only the greedy doctors and lawyers.

@RJB, it's better to sit quietly and be accused of being stupid as opposed to opening your mouth and proving it. Both Eva (Green Acres) and Zsa Zsa were legends and did contribute to our culture, unlike some celebrities today who just want to take away the culture.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Miss Zsa Zsa. God Bless!

In all kindness, why don't they leave her alone and let her go? She is quite
a fighter but it no longer makes sense to have her suffer anymore. Enough!

Does she have a living will or DNR?

Geez, the woman is 94. Let her go. How much has medicare already spent on keeping her alive during the last few years? For what?

"Pull the frickin'; plug. This death watch over an extremely minor "actress" with a big name--the original Paris Hilton; fame because they're famous (Eva was the real family actress)--is inane, insane and obscene. We could "prolly" keep people alive until they're 202...but it is simply and obviously UNSUPPORTABLE. A society has to choose where it devotes resources. Resources devoted to one aspect of society subtracts from another. YES to some extent life is a zero sum game. It couldn't be less relevant that she's paying the bills. Let's say everyone in the country wanted to spend every single cent of theirs just trying to keep their vital signs monitor from flatlining. That would leave every other aspect of their--and our--lives flatlined. NO construction, NO military, NO education, NO energy production ad infinitum. This "sanctity of life" regardless of circumstance mantra is NOT SUPPORTABLE.

This is why I helped get my father into hospice. No more of these last-minute attempts to prolong life a few agonizing months. Within a week, he was able to pass peacefully as was his wish (and his right as a patent).

She has the right to die with dignity so leave her alone to do so.
      • b 7 months ago
That can't happen because then her doctors may end up on trial for involuntary manslaughter.

Slapping cops, getting married monthly, and breaking her hip.

She was not in green Acres. That was her dead sister.

She was on the TV talk shows, game shows, and in movies such as Moulin Rouge, Queen of Outer Space, Picture Mommy Dead, Arrividerci Baby, and Jack of Diamonds.

Here's a couple of tidbits for you. Don Ameche and Martha Hyer, who starred with Zsa Zsa in Picture Mommy Dead, were originally chosen to play Oliver and Lisa Douglas on Green Acres. I don't know about Don Ameche, but Martha Hyer wanted too much money and they wouldn't give it to her. That's where Eva Gabor came in, and the rest they say, is television history.

Also, Eva Gabor's husband at the time, Richard Brown, was a vice president at Fimways; the company that produced Green Acres. During the show's first year, he stayed in New York during the week while she did the show, but he flew out to Hollywood on the weekends. Then he gave up his stockbroker position in New York and they bought a home in Beverly Hills. (Yes. They were married during the days of the British Invasion, Motown, and flower power.)

Zsa Zsa will be fine. Unless someone drives a stake into her heart, cuts off her head or she is exposed to sunlight she will live. Those are the ways you kill a vampire. Proven Fact!

BTW with how many ignorant folks post about Green Acres you can tell they know it wasn't Zsa Zsa in the show they are just laughing at the replies.

Poor Zsa Zsa. Although she's falling apart, God isn't finished with her yet. When He's ready to take her, believe me, He will take her. In the meantime, continue to keep her, her husband, and her daughter Francesca in your prayers.
