Luv the show, but...

Generally, I love the show, but sometimes it seems as though we have to get a dose of sleeze and creepy, creepy characters, and then at the end, there is some kind of moral that the writers try to draw from the this-close-to-pornography story line. When the sleeze factor gets too high, I am sometimes on the verge of shutting it off, but I guess I want to see the moral denouement.
Some other comments:
What's up with the crazy stalker killers, maimers, etc. I like some of the episodes with them, but why are so many of these weirdos showing up in these two guys' life?
Also, what up with Matt? We never see his process, like why is he, in his own mind, doing the things he does? How did he get so misguided?
Also, I thought I saw an episode in which Julia killed her mom. Was it just wishful thinking on her part? a dream? WHAT?Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -

"Real" guro watered down just enough for TV

Plain and simple, this lady wants an extra breast, this other one wants to cut it off herself, one guy pieces together his fantasy girl from corpses and his sister's head, another guy runs around raping women and cutting their faces...
I usually don't really react (or care) if there is 2 or three scenes with a touch of violence or blood, but really, the writers make no effort to even weave it into a storyline.

Why?
October 14, 2009I loved watching Nip/Tuck from the first season up until the Carver storyline. I loved how they were so technical in the medical aspect, but after a while the storyline just became about sex. When Christian was diagnosed with cancer I thought the show would get more depth but sadly I was mistaken. It was the same old tired porno it had been the season before. Maybe this new season will be the one that saves the show, and besides I'm tired of seeing Christians naked butt!Was this review helpful to you? Sign in to rate -
